About Learning Disabled Programs and Services

  • There is support for Learning Disabled students but there is not a specific program available for Learning Disabled students.
  • There is no limit to the number of Learning Disabled students.
  • There is no limit to the percent of students allowed into the Learning Disabled program.


Application Requirements

  • ACT is required.
  • Diagnostic tests are required.
  • A Child Study Team report is required if student is classified.
  • A personal interview is required.
  • Untimed tests are accepted.
  • GED certification is accepted.
  • top half of secondary school class is the minimum class rank accepted.
  • C is the minimum letter grade average accepted.


Learning Disabled Student Services
  • List of applicable services for Learning Disabled students:
    • Oral Tests
    • Readers
    • Tutors
    • Tape Recorders
    • Untimed Tests
  • Learning Disabled students are tutored individually and in small groups.
  • Credit is not given for remedial courses taken.


Learning Disabled Term and Staff Information
  • The Learning Disabled student program runs on a minimal term.
  • A lighter course load is given to Learning Disabled students.
  • Additional time is given to complete degree.
  • No extra cost for Learning Disabled students.
  • There are 1 part-time staff persons available to work with Learning Disabled students.
